Ed Boks claimed today that he took LAAS to No-Kill in March. He killed 540 animals but he said they all deserved it. We all know the shelters are stuffed to the brim to carry off a 540 animal kill, No-Kill month, and a thousand will die this month to prepare the way for the 5,000 kittens he will kill before the end of the year.
As a friend of mine said:
Check out his new blog; totally insane. Why not say he also created world peace and found the cure for cancer and Aids? How can the department let him spew these whopper lies? It's like Chief Bratton saying there was no crime in March or the LAFD to say there were no fires.
.
More Boks lies. LAAS routinely kills animals with minor ailments such as skin conditions and they kill animals while rescuers are en route to save them. There's no justification for killing these animals. You can't honestly claim that these animals are unhealthy and must be killed.
ReplyDeleteWe remember each and every dog and cat we loved and were prepared to rescue when the Boks killing machine stole their last breath from them. We had names for them, homes for them and we loved every one of them without fully knowing them.
I would not want to be Ed Boks for a moment. Just imagine all the animal souls that must not be able to find their way to the light because they were murdered within those heartless walls under Boks' reign of terror. How would you feel if your precious animal companion died in there? Tormented, frightened, alone. Murdered.
I am not impressed.
Are you high?
ReplyDeleteIf you're not stoned, you are as crazy, Bat Shit crazy and wholly irrelevant as your buddy Zsu Zsa.
Post more pictures of your cat, dreamer.

"Ode to Boks' "No-Kill" March Madness"
ReplyDeleteHe says I'm "unwanted,"
When he should see I'm undaunted,
By the cruelty of this man,
As I die by his hand.
To humans like him I gave all my love,
Loyalty and trust beyond and above.
He says my right to live he cannot justify,
As I wait with all the others for my turn to die.
So shallow is he, he cannot comprehend,
'Til we meet again, we will meet in the end.
How can the City allow this man to lie to the public this way? Government agencies must be honest with the public. If you are having problems, you can't just say "we have no problems. everything is great." That doesn't solve the problems. It just makes it worse. He needs to admit the problems and seek help or we will have another major kill session in the next few months. Just look at the kill rate second half of last year.It was through the roof, just so he could say his first six months were "fantastic!" He killed an extra 3,000 animals in the second half of last year, 3,000 living breathing beings.
ReplyDeleteHe may have killed 540 cats/dogs but he killed 675 total animals. Bunnies, snakes, turtles, hamsters, parrots, squirrels count too. He killed 18% of the animals that entered the shelter last month. That's "no kill?" He also let 11% just die on their own. In 2005 only 3% of all animals died on their own. The number and percentage of animals leaving the shelter alive is down. How is that good and happy news?
ReplyDeleteI swear, if Boks ran a Nazi internment camp, he'd probably say that was "No-Kill!" also.
Black Heart:
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder you don't mind that innocent animals are being killed.
Animals have a soul, and their life and their soul is not our property.
You obviously avoided workplace drug testing.
I'm so sorry for this abuse, Ed M.

“Animals possess a soul and men must love and feel solidarity with our smaller brethren…the fruit of the creative action of the Holy Spirit and merit respect…as near to God as men are.” He reminded people that all living beings came into being because of the “breath” of God. He spoke of St. Francis’s love for animals declaring, “We, too, are called to a similar attitude.” — His Holiness Pope John Paul II (Another Yea Sayer "Lunatic")
ReplyDelete“Life is as dear to the mute creature as it is to a man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not to die, so do other creatures.”——His Holiness The Dalai Lama (Another Yea Sayer)
ReplyDelete“Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”—Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 (A Yea Sayer)
ReplyDelete“Life is life—whether in a cat, or dog or man. There is no difference there between a cat or a man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man's own advantage.”—Sri Aurobindo (A Yea Sayer)
