Just passed 25,000 visitors today.

There are an average of 167 visitors a day, and each visit lasts about 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

LA City and County don't visit like they used to and the federal government hasn't visited in a long time. They are probably looking at the new generation of "animal terrorist bloggers," such as http://lacdacc.blogspot.com.

The monthly visitor totals have not varied much since February. Guess I need to add porno to build readership.

That's the second time you've threatened to add porn to the site.

I think ya just like porn, Ed...

The statistics for first quarter were rather obscene. Does that count as pornographic?

#2, you are confusing the obscenities Ed Boks gets paid for and the ones he commits for free.

I was going to say "the obscenities he commits when he's on the clock" but apparently, according to the lawsuits, Boks doesn't restrict his extracurricular activities to his off-the-city-clock hours.

No wonder any right-thinking city, with anything approximating an actual Mayor, wises up and fires him.

Ed Boks is his lawsuit against New York stated he knew the Mayor's office hated him. He said he feared being fired all the time. He told people that the Mayor was just jealous that he was getting all the good press instead of the Mayor. Hardly.

Boks actually improved things a little in New York, even if you include his fudging the books. The Mayor of New York still had the good sense to fire him. Here in LA things are actually worse than before Boks got here, yet the Mayor "loves" him. Maybe the Mayor likes him because of the "good" though completely dishonest press? With the budget in the toilet, many lawsuits being won against the City, crime going up, traffic at a standstill, economy tanking...being able to (dishonestly) tell the world that you have the "lowest lokill in the US of A" is a positive? Grasping for straws here.

You almost have as many visits as the Mayor Sam blog! That's tremendous! He had 31,000 in April. He says he's a top ten blog. Maybe you are too, Muzika.

  6. No, I have had 25,000 visitors this year, about 17 weeks, or about 75,000 a year. Mayor Sam has nothing to fear from me.

Besides, I am a one issue blog.

"LA City and County don't visit like they used to and the federal government hasn't visited in a long time."

How can you tell when you get LA City, County, or Federal Gov. Visitors? Wouldn't they be posting anonymously?

  8. Actually, my tracking software indicates if the visitor viewed this blog from a City, County, Federal or military computer. Mine does not say what department within the County or City.

Of course many government staffers can visit on a home or laptop computer, and the tracking software does not give me the last three digits of the identifying URL. So I can't really tell whose computer it is, especially of the visitor is view from a Road Runner or AOL server. All get lumped together.

So, you guys, just visit away, I can't tell who you are.

I could if I weren't so cheap and bought the upgraded version of the tracking software.

    LOL!

I wouldn't even bother spending extra money if it's unnecessary. Save it for your babes.

If you start to get threats, that's a different story...then can anyone do the tracking for you?

Otherwise, I think it's kind of fun to do everything anonymously, and people feel free to talk and respond. But there's so much other good stuff to do with any little extra cash (like when your babes get sick, or you want to buy them toys, or goodies; help the homeless, animal or human etc.) than to spend it on computer stuff...I don't know.

I don't blame you for throwing your money away if you really don't need to.

Yeah...why waste your money if you don't need to. So much good can be done with whatever little extra cash is available.

What if people were making threats anonymously, though. Would you be able to track them down?

You probably have never had that experience and I hope you never do...

BTW---I don't know if anyone else has had this problem:

After I'm writing a response and click on "Publish your Comment" I'm not getting the message that tells me that "your comment ha been saved and will be visible after blog owner approval," telling me that the message has been sent.

The message just disappears and I don't get the yellow highlighted message in the end telling me everything has been sent.

Just thought I would let you know, Mr. Muzika, in case other people are having this problem. Maybe that's why it seems you're not getting more visitors. The message disappears.

    Just a possibility.

    Perhaps it's just my computer.

Comments don't seem to get sent using the link for publishing when you Preview the comment first but I don't think this would have an impact on the tracking.

After you preview your comment, click on "Edit Comment" link and then click the orange "PUBLISH THIS COMMENT". It will then get sent to be approved for publishing.
