After posting about the kitten drowning in Marc Madow's pool, I have received several comments about Scamper Ramp, which allows pets to climb out of pools.
The cheapest price I found is at Petsmart, at about $45.00 each. I think a pool should have two or three of these and/or a cover.
For me, if I had a pool, I'd just drain it rather than risk an animal drowning in it.

I'm going to opt for keeping water in my pool and get a few of those ramps. I found a site that sells them for 40 bucks. I don't know what the delivery charges will be.
ReplyDeleteI've also provided water outside my pool for those outdoor four legged aliens. I'm glad I can post anonymously. Forget the animal abusers out there, gotta go after the evil water providers. You never know what kind of crime they'll do next.
Thanks Marc.
ReplyDeleteThose ramps are especially important during duckling season as ducklings can get in the pool, but can't get out and then end up dying.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand there is a lot of technology built into this simple little device. My mother just purchased one and said her dog is just now getting used to using it.
