Just because Pacelle said there was no truth to the rumor, does not mean there is no truth to the rumor.
Lying and deception are an intrinsic way of government communications as we witness daily. It is blogs like this that post possibilities which are later confirmed or disconfirmed.
So, a rumor becomes fact only when a government makes an official announcement?
In the meantime no one is supposed to say anything about public affairs until the Mayor's office akes a public announcement?
