Whale and Dolphin Killing in Europe
A few days ago I saw the results of one of the depressed patient's whose report I saw. His statement, "I hope the Mayan prediction for the end of the world is accurate." How can one live in a universe like this?
What a disgusting bunch of rubbish the human race is at times. I would sure like to divorce myself from creatures who commit acts like this or what happened at another beachfront when mankind's war produced the bloody massacre known as the Storming of the Beaches at Normandie. The people who performed in this outdoor slaughterhouse think what they do is so cool that they can't seem to take enough pictures to remember it all with. This is murder just like the act of murder committed by Animal Control er I mean "Animal Shelters" all over the country. I wonder if the folks that slaughtered all of these poor defenseless creatures who caused them no harm had time to go to church afterwards and chant mantras like "Thou shall not kill" while thumping their holy bibles and feeling oh so spiritual. I'm also disappointed that the couch potatoes on this website don't seem to want to even comment about this disgusting event let alone try to do anything to prevent it from occurring again and again. What a pathetic lot we humans are.
Don't forget the Haun's Mill Massacre which is not taught in school as it looks too much like genocide in our freedom of religion country. The way the people were standing around casually in this slaughter video looks just like the photos of folks standing around after a lynching of Black folks in the old days. The victims hung with horror on their distended faces while the spectators had a satisfied look as if they had just tasted some delicious ice cream. I don't think most people would be willing to watch this entire film. It would disturb them but not motivate them to do a darned thing including the simple voicing of outrage let alone start a popular boycott of Danish goods or anything purposeful. And this is why the uniformed, badged officers who kill helpless animals under the color of authority while in their control are perfectly safe in continuing to do so. Nobody would even be so bold as to refuse to serve them a glass of water in a restaurant.
Some commentators here seem to be making this sea mammal slaughter a U.S. vs. Denmark competition of which country has created the greatest travesty. Like the slaughter of any people or animal in the past is going to make this killing spree justified? Anyone who was present in any of the videos and can then watch the videos and not feel shame and disgust at their actions has no conscience and no humanity (or are ignorant beyond belief). There are those who care deeply about the sanctity of life and those who relish in its destruction. Watch the video and then look deeply into your own heart and see on which side you of this line your true being resides. --Paul in Mass. U.S.
This is truly appalling, but no worse than the slaughter that goes on every day, day in and day out in every "civilized" country in the world - millions of living feeling beings being slaughtered so that humans can feed their appetites for flesh.
Why have each of these animals been cut behind the base of the skull?

PS - The line between wants and needs is thinly drawn. It is my belief that the killing (and near extinction) of the American Buffalo during the 1800's was out of want, not need.
It truly amazes me that the species who created iPhones, utilizes personal computers and the internet, and sends rockets with cameras into deep space can also commit such egregious acts of violence and then sleep comfortably at night. Truth is way stranger then fiction. We've come a long. long way technically but we're in retrograde morally speaking.

ReplyDeleteActually, one of the most disgusting acts of killing was here in the U.S. during the 1800's.

You mean when Crazy Horse killed Custer, or Booth killed Lincoln? Or, Buffalo Bill killed the buffalo? Or, when the indians wiped out Jamestown?

This is truly horrible, another example of humanity at its worst.
