Boks' Progress is a Dud; Greenwalt Accomplished 1000% More in One Year

.
The Associated Press took Carla Hall's article in the LA Times, edited it, and made Boks seem like a hero because he killed 282 fewer cats and dogs during the last half of calendar 2006. Wow! Ed brought the kill numbers down 2.4%!!

Open the wine bottle!!

Of course, Boks performance should be compared to previous general managers for each 12 month period ending March 31:

4/1/06-07 Boks........Kill number down by ...........653

4/1/05-06 Stuckey.........Kill number down by.............3,035
4/1/04-05 Greenwalt.....Kill number down by ............4,402
4/1/03-04 Greenwalt.....Kill number down by ............3,062
4/1/02-03 Greenwalt.....Kill number down by ............6,101

Well, I guess Ed has made some progress. Of course, Greenwalt during his best year decreased the killing by a factor of ten times that of Boks--meaning almost 1,000%. During his worst year, Greenwalt decreased the killing rate by 470% of what Boks did this past 12 months.

Stuckey also bettered Boks kill rate decrease by 470%.

Break out the wine, but make it a cheap bottle.

Does anyone have Stuckey's phone number?

Wow! I had no idea.

Boks is quibbling about a percent or two of improvement when the other guys made 1000% better than Boks?

He is a no kill expert? We all thougth Stuckey was a jerk and now we find out our no kill expert is a bigger jerk.

Boy, did AP press butcher the Times piece. AP could easily have mentioned the disparity between Boks' statement and the GM's report.
