That old no-confidence thing got dropped already. Alarcon and Zine had their fun. They did their grandstanding. Now it's a dead story because nobody wants it and the council have no say over Boks, just the mayor does.
Poster number 1 - are you an animal lover or not? Do you do the same with people? Children who are 18 months with cleft palates. Would you say that he/she wasn't a baby and they aren't cute. Sorry.
The real question, #4, is why does the L.A. Times refuse to cover the fact that the L.A. City Council has called for the immediate resignation of the General Manager of a major City department?
I searched Boks' name on the Times site and the last story is a cut-and-paste of his press release call for fosters. NO mention of the call for a vote of no confidence, NO mention of the call for resignation.
That's not just journalistic malpractice, it's a cover-up. With Villaraigosa's dismal numbers in the past election, why does the Times still think they need to carry his water?
Does it occur to the Times that this is part of the reason people don't buy newspapers anymore? Why should we pay for them to do the Mayor's PR flak-work?
And #1, thank you for showing why people dump dogs they only cared about when they were puppies, every single day. You sound like a very unpleasant, soulless piece of work.
I would feel much better if I knew that everyone who posted here had the maximum allowable number of adopted, spayed and neutered dogs and cats in their homes. In fact, that should be the price of admission to post to this blog.
Unaccustomed as I am to being required to prove my bona fides to someone named "Anonymous," not only am I maxed on dogs and cats who are all thankfully devoid of reproductive power, I'm also maxed on working at a shelter, reading up on these issues both locally and nationally, and addressing these issues via every possible avenue.
Now -- why would you ever ask, Anonymous?
And Brad, I must respectfully disagree. You're not altered, you have a major set, my friend.
I guess I have to not post here then. I only have one neutered dog. I just lost my other neutered dog. I can't afford to get another one so I guess I'm just a loser who will go post elsewhere.

I think he's adorable, puppy or not.
No, number one is right. If you're not a puppy and you're not cute (by someone's sad, limited standards) you really have no right to a home.
Thanks for missing the point, #1...
What's happening with the no-confidence vote with the councilpeople and Mr. Boks? Any new videos?

Loser. How "cute" are you in the people world?

Love that...

Ha! B=D thanks, that definitely didn't read the way I was thinking it when I wrote it.
Anyway, I thought the PWD at West LA was kinda cute and yeah, the LA Times has been suspiciously quiet.
