Mayor gearing up for search for GM
My sources tell me the Mayor's Office is gearing up for a search for a new GM. If you know people who are interested, have them get their resume ready. Personally I suggest sending them directly to Jim Bickhart Jim.Bickhart@lacity.org.

They can't be serious about putting Russ Core in charge of the GM recruitment. This process needs to be conducted by a competent Human Resources person in the Personnel Dept., not Core. Otherwise, back to the stone ages again.
Russ is the personnel person for the dept. I would send the resumes to Bickhart although I am sure, Russ will be involved. I don't know how the search will be conducted, but I have been assured it will be a very thorough search taking months.
If they ride out the search for a year, that could cover the cost of the lawsuit. If they ride it out for two years, that could cover the cost of the new chief deputy mayor position. If they ride it out for a billion years, that should cover the early retirement and pension pay out costs that will be covered by the tax payers.
Core will not lift one finger for you. Do not waste your time by spending it on Core in any way. He will do nothing except ignore you.
