From Montgomery Blair High School’s on line newspaper:
Dan James, vice president of business development at Carolina Biological Supply Company, which provides Blair with cats, says that efforts to stop dissection would not mean more cats are saved. "We get the cats from animal shelters in Mexico, already dead or the ones that they are going to put to sleep," says James. "It's not like any fewer animals are going to be killed if we stopped providing cats."
Carolina spokesperson Keither Barker lied to me last July 10 when he said all cat cadavers sold by Carolina Biological were received already euthanized approved animal shelters. He specifically denied they were received alive from Mexico or elsewhere and killed at Carolina Facilities for dissection.
I had a feeling the guy was lying. What scum bags. I'm amazed they didn't tell you that the cats came from hospices and all died of natural causes after they were in painless comas.
Just know, Muzika, that things will always be worse than you can prove.
Ah so what Ed. Whether a cat is from Carolina or Mexico they are just as filthy.

Is the writer of this blog posing as an LA ACO?
This is an awfully strange response coming from a real ACO.
I don't belive any of these "LA ACO" responses are really coming from someone who works at a shelter---not an officer, and not someone who has ever worked in the shelter cleaning kennels.
This is someone who wants ALL ACO's to look bad, including staff who works for the shelter.
Muzika, is this you? Betcha it is. You're trying to make this more interesting by posing as an ACO aren't ya?
C'mon. It's not even believable. Just stick to your articles. It really messes them up and it's in really bad taste.
We know it's you, so cut it out. I hate these responses, even if it is in jest to get people reacting.
I have suspected LA ACO was not an LA ACO for some time.
But then I thought, who would it be? Most of the people who read this blog are predisposed to judge both LAAS and County to be bad news anyway, so it is like trying to outrage the choir.
Then I thought it might really be a Neanderthal ACO expressing his/her own opinion of contemt for anyone in the LA animal community, just as it appears, or someone who wants us to hate ACOs even more, such as someone who had a run in with them.
I also noticed that though the ACO comments go back a long ways, they really picked up after my Pierce posts started.
Back then Shapiro (I think) left comments more or less that I should leave Pierce alone and should concentrate on LAAS and County. I called him on it, and the Shapiro comments stopped dead then the ACO comments doubled or tripled. Hmmm...
Do you think it might be someone who wants to bait me into attacking LAAS even more and leave Pierce alone? I would not be surprised.
Whomever it is, does fan the flames.
LA ACO = Bait and Switch
"Do you think it might be someone who wants to bait me into attacking LAAS even more and leave Pierce alone?"
Nope. I don't think this is bait for you personally.
I think it's more like bait and switch for your readers.
I thought you got that program so that you could identify who your respondents are.
Isn't this how you were able to identify Faye Dunaway, and "the other"?
I don't see that post anymore, but anyhoo, Ms. LA ACO hasn't revealed herself yet, huh?
Well, the "run-in" sounds good too.
The idea about "trying to flame the fire of the choir" sounds pretty good too!

Did you see the CNN special about those poor Tibetans monks tortured and beaten to death as they are being arrested for seeking liberation from the Chinese Communism?
They stopped taking donations and overturned their food bowls and are now feeding the tiny little starving kids who don't live past their 5th birthday. Devastating.
Did you see the emaciated stray dog walking past as the kids were lined up on the ground waiting for their meager serving of rice the monks were feeding them?
Just like trying to feed a colony of ferals as they line up waiting for their feeder.
"If you harm, you get suffering; If you Help, you benefit: You get Happiness. THAT is THE WAY OF BUDDHISM."
You fight evil with Love, Compassion, and Kindness even under torture and political turmoil(Dalai Lama...CNN today.)
I know you didn't miss the special.
Those people are trying fighting to survive; they can't even think about animal suffering and the stray dog also needing a spoonful of rice along with those kids who are lining up to be fed.
Then the cyclone hit and drowned the baby boys who were waiting for the food; the dog, her siblings and their puppies, and their puppies' puppies.
It's like the end of the world in Asia. Slow, tortuous, death, misery, violence, and suffering; Yet, the Buddhist monks are trained in passive resistance; trained to show love, compassion and kindness so that kindness and laughter exudes even in their faces -- after being tortured in prison for so many years.
The tracing program I have does not identify specific computers, only their browser carrier, such as SBC, LA City, etc.
It is not Faye Dunaway, but another Dunaway. I got her name from an informant, not by a program.
Re the Tibetan plight. I feel for them; there is not a lot of justice in the world and there is suffering aplenty.
But monks are not trained to feel compassion, it is either there in their make up or absent.
Many Tibetan and other Asian monks are absent any compassion whatsoever.
There is a saying in much of SE Asia about monks:
Even snakes are not free from being used by monks.
In this country, BUDDHISM = A bunch of ex hippies that can't let go of the past. They hate people so they occupy themselves with animals. The animals have to listen to the peace love crap all day long.

OK---so there you have it; It's not Buddhism.
What you are describing is good 'ole '60's goody-feely spirituality.
It's not philosophy and it's not religion.
Similar thing when people say they are not religious, but they're "spiritual."
Could be Spiritism; could be optimistic thinking; could be cultic spirituality for all we know.
Escapism without commitment, maybe.
But this goody-feely spirituality is void of true compassion and it's related virtues. It's short-lived.
It often comes with a feeling of temporary elation.
Some people get a high from feeling elated and use it like a drug.
If the drug isn't there, then there must be something wrong, so they find ways, or outlets of getting more, or the feeling of spirituality fades.
I understand what you mean about the "peace love crap" and I agree with you.
True compassion comes from directly being involved in and feeling the suffering of others, including the smallest and most helpless of creatures.
This means that you find yourself getting your hands dirty actively trying to make their lives better because you feel their suffering whether you want to or not.
Sometimes you're driven to act on their behalf because you can't stand to see them suffer.
As a compassionate being, you are on your hands and knees in the dirt, getting into the earth, meeting them at the place where they are.
Forgetting yourself; You see only them, until they're ok again and then you can have peace.
The Buddhist "trick," if you will, is to have peace in the midst of the suffering; a vacation mindset at the time when you are most needed, so that you can continue to act on their behalf.
In Mahayana Buddhism for example, a nurse hasn't had a vacation in several years. She decides to take it, but then relizes that her patients need her.
Rather than taking her vacation, she decides to return to work. She takes her vacation mindset with her to work and continues to care for her patients.
Animals have a lot to teach us about ourselves when we're right there with them; getting involved, caring for them; listening to them; helping them in any way we can. Through their health and through their suffering. When they're young and when they grow old; in sickness and in health. Through tragedy and well-being.
If you're really an ACO, you must be sick of animal people and people who have animals. You see a lot of crap.
Do not waste your time responding to LA ACO. You are better than that.
She/he are not real and represent a Tamasic phenomenon that is becoming extinct. She/he do not have a clue and speak only for the clueless.

Okey doke, Mr. Muzika.
Hey Ed. Don't be a killjoy. I enjoyed that post. It made some sense for some reason.
